Miquel Àngel Lacomba Seguí

Miquel Àngel Lacomba Seguí was born in Palma in 1971. In 1982 he began his studies at the Conservatori Superior de Les Illes Balears, where he completed five years of piano and Solf-fa of the elementary grade. Between 1985 and 1989 he entered the world of theatre, in the group "Xicarandana", as an actor and mainly as a pianist, participating in various performances of the company. Theatre came back into his life when he took part in the company "Som X Teatre" as a pianist, playing live in most of the municipal theatres on the island of Mallorca with the production "Pobresa Zero".

In 1989 he began studying architecture in Barcelona, combining his studies with those of the “Taller de Músics” with Professor Joan Monné. In 1996 he finished his architecture studies and returned to Mallorca. It became a constant combination of the professional practice of architecture and music. He continues his musical training at the “Factoria de So” with Sebastià Raimundo and Marcos Collado, following the contents and criteria of Berklee College of Music in Boston. The relationship between the two creative fields, architecture and music, complement and enrich each other, producing an unexpected symbiosis between the two arts.

He has played with musicians such as Marcos Collado, Pep Garau, Toni Miranda, Vicenç Borràs, Manolo Cuesta and Pablo Di Salvo, and other important musicians from the island's jazz scene. He has formed part of groups such as Lady Vinyl, Els Ementals, and has led his projects, such as PROBAND jazz quintet. He is currently focusing on the project Miquel Àngel Lacomba quartet..
